James MacFarlane Lilac is a hardy late-blooming lilac known for its large clusters of rosy-pink flowers and sweet fragrance. Blooming slightly later than common lilacs, it extends the spring flowering season and provides an excellent source of nectar for butterflies and pollinators. Its dense branching habit makes it a fantastic option for privacy screens, flowering hedges, and landscape borders throughout Wisconsin. This dependable shrub is prized for its cold hardiness, disease resistance, and long-lasting floral display.

Height (8–10 ft.) Reaches a mature height of approximately 8 to 10 feet with a spread of 6 to 8 feet. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Produces fragrant rosy-pink flower clusters in late spring and attracts pollinators throughout the blooming season. Excellent for privacy screens, hedges, landscape borders, and specimen plantings.
