Hydrangea – Phantom

Phantom Hydrangea-Tree Form | Hydrangea paniculata 'Phantom'

A striking ornamental tree noted for producing some of the largest flower heads in its species. A sister seedling of Limelight®, Phantom® features significantly stronger stems that easily support its massive blooms. Flowers emerge white, often flushed with lime green, and gradually mature to a rich deep pink. Highly valued as a cut flower, this hydrangea prefers average to moist soils and performs exceptionally well in urban environments, showing strong tolerance to pollution.

Reaches a mature height of 8 to 10 feet, making it an excellent small flowering tree for focal points, patios, and mixed landscape beds.

• Spread (8–10 ft.)
Develops an equally wide spread, creating a full, well-proportioned canopy.

• Shape (Upright spreading)

• Fall Foliage (Insignificant)
Fall foliage color is minimal, with the plant’s primary ornamental value coming from its flowers rather than autumn leaf color.

• Hardiness Zone (USDA Zones 4–8)
Reliably hardy in Zones 4 through 8, adapting well to a wide range of climates and urban conditions.
