Birch – Paper Clump

Paper Birch | Betula papyrifera

This extremely hardy birch is considered one of the most permanent and desirable white-barked birches available. Young stems display a rich red-brown color, maturing to a striking chalk-white bark that exfoliates with age. Fall color is a standout feature, bringing bright seasonal interest to the landscape. Plants naturally form clumps with three or more stems, adding texture and character year-round.

Reaches approximately 40 feet tall at maturity, making it a medium-sized tree well suited for residential landscapes, parks, and naturalized settings.
